We have a scientific team of immensely talented, enthusiastic and experienced individuals – all of whom have considerable industrial and/or postdoctoral experience prior to joining Celtic Catalysts. In turn, these chemists are supported and directed in our own internal research programs by our world-class Scientific Advisory Board which is chaired by K. Barry Sharpless who won the 2001 Nobel Prize for his pioneering work in chiral chemistry.

Geoffrey Fuller, Operations Director
Geoffrey Fuller has over 30 years experience of production management in the fine-chemicals industry. Having founded, built-up and sold his own company (Wychem) he spent many years with NIPA/BTP and Clariant and has a long track record of successful scientific and commercial collaboration with numerous major multinational pharmaceutical and fine chemical partners.
 

Declan Gilheany, Chief Scientific Officer
Declan Gilheany is Professor of Organic Chemistry at University College Dublin, Ireland. Previously he has been a faculty member in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the National University of Ireland, Maynooth. Dr. Gilheany is the author of numerous research papers, articles and patents in the area of chiral chemistry
